Under this service,
a UNIX administrator would work onsite or offsite depending on
the client's requirements and take care of the routine UNIX Administration
and monitoring activities. In a typical environment, the UNIX
admin would install the UNIX OS according to best practices and
maintain the OS with security and bug patches. The UNIX machine
would be constantly monitored for storage issues, security issues,
and performance issues. Corrective action would be taken to resolve
these issues in such a manner as to minimize customer impact.
All routine maintenance would be done after business hours by
highly qualified individuals. For larger customers there would
be the option of having a technical liaison for all provided services
to coordinate technical requirements for business changes to the
remote teams.
Depending on the customer's needs this
technical liaison would have a variety of skill sets. This combination
of onsite and offsite teams would give the client, the benefit
of both, personal interaction as well as cost effective services
and maintenance done with minimal customer impact. All routine
maintenance would be done after business hours by highly qualified
individuals.
